There’s something about an elderly person ordering a hot chocolate or going to the zoo, which completely melts my heart.

I just watched a documentary about 3 deaf teens, it was fascinating. When one of the girls explained that she’d never heard a bird sing, it blew my mind. There is just so much we take for granted. So much.

So I’ve just started reading Ernest Hemingway’s ‘A Moveable Feast’. I bought it from a bookshop in St Michel. I came across the bookshop on my first day in Paris when I went to Saint Michel to see the fountain and have a ‘cafe au lait’. So I open the book today and start reading…. First page in, Hemingway talks about being in St Michel, and going for a...

So much to say, I don’t know where to start… I’ve met alot of people, I basically talk to anyone who’s around. At first you feel a little weird starting a conversation with a total stranger when there’s no real purpose to it, except for enjoyment. But I’ve come to be really comfortable with it, and like it. It’s amazing hearing story’s from all...

£2 for pizza!!! £2 for a whole margherita pizza!! If they do some similar deal with something to do with potatoes, then I’m moving here, that’s it, that’s sealed the deal. Fat bliss.

15 of the Deadliest Corporations →
somerset: stay-human: These corporations, if they were individual human beings, would be locked up for life. Instead, they continue raking in the big bucks. Human rights abuses, murder, war, eco disasters, and animal exploitation keep these evil companies raking in the green. Prepare to be disgusted. I don’t think the list is in any particular order. Even if you don’t agree with all of them...

Oxford Circus
It’s half past midnight. I made the stupid mistake of falling asleep at 5pm…waking up at 10pm and now I’m totally wired and can’t sleep. I’m also starving, but my chips are next to my bed (shock horror) and I don’t want to go back in there and wake up my roommate. So today I headed into the city to check out the shopping of Oxford street (priorities,...

Arrival into London!
Yipppeeee! After a 10 hour flight to Kuala Lumpar, a 3 hour layover and then a 13 hour flight to London, I have finally arrived! All in all it was a pretty decent flight considering. I slept for a good chunk of it. After I arrived at 4pm London time, I was picked up by my shuttle. The guy took forever to show up, but he explained that he thought I was Chinese (last name - de Jong) and that...

my boyfriend is downstairs talking to my Japanese flatmate about Japanese films. It’s super adorable and sweet. The way he engages with people is easily one of my favourite things about him.
